Audit
Financial audits with a tailored approach, because the devil is in the detail
Business Audit Partner provides licensed audit services in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA). We follow legislative requirements, especially the Act on Statutory Audit and other acts relevant to the preparation of financial statements. Business Audit Partner provides the following audit services:
statutory audit of financial statements,
audit of financial statements in accordance with the international accounting standards IFRS and US GAAP,
audit of consolidated financial statements,
audit of annual report.
As part of our interim audit procedures, we focus on gaining an in depth understanding of the company, the verification of the company’s internal control systems and the overall processes that are deployed by the company.
Verification of the annual report is also a part of the overall audit, irrespective of whether it is prepared in accordance with the related financial statements.

Compulsory audit of financial statements
Based on the Slovak Act on Accounting, the compulsory audit of financial statements applies to either business companies or cooperatives if, in the current financial year and previous financial year, at least two conditions out of the following conditions are met:
total amount of assets exceeded EUR 4,000,000, while the amount of assets means the gross amount of assets,
net turnover exceeded EUR 8,000,000,
the average recalculated size of the workforce in one accounting period exceeded 50 employees.
Companies and cooperatives that either have their securities accepted for trading on the regulated market of a member state of European Union or are obliged by a special regulation must have their financial statements verified by an auditor.
Financial statements must be verified by an auditor within one year from the end of the financial year, for which the financial statements are prepared, unless a special regulation provides otherwise.
Accounting Review
We will reveal your true financial situation for a brighter future
The legislation provides moderate rules in relation to obliging the verification of financial statements by an auditor. That is the main reason for voluntary audit on accounting and taxes.
An accounting review is generally preferred by company owners and by other interested parties in order to assure that the company’s accounting is correct and complete and that the company’s financial statements present a true and fair reflection of the company. Company owners and other interested parties are able to gain an independent review of accounting and tax calculation.
A part of the accounting review is the performance of an analytical review. An analytical review can provide the assessment and evaluation of production and sales margins, the assessment of costs, revenues and financial results, the assessment of a suitable fixed asset depreciation plan, the assessment of receivables and payables and their aging structures and the recalculation of taxes. In addition, we assess and evaluate control and other processes in the company and identify any possible deficiencies.

An accounting review can help you minimise the risk of fines for possible deficiencies in accounting and taxes, detect possible fraud and possible unfair practices of management and employees, identify possible mistakes due to overload of employees or due to numerous changes in legislation, improve cash-flow management by identifying overdue receivables and payables and identify possible obsolete assets and stocks.
What is an accounting review, when is it useful and what is it for?
An accounting review is an independent look at accounting and tax calculations.
Screening will help detect fraud and unfair practices by employees.
We detect errors due to staff workload or changes in the ever-changing legislation.
The review includes an assessment and evaluation of the tax calculation.
By identifying overdue receivables and payables, the review can help to improve cash flow management.
We identify obsolete assets and inventory.
We identify poorly set internal control and other processes within the company, assess the impact of any deficiency on the company and help to adjust the processes.
Verification will minimize the risk of fines for incorrect bookkeeping.
For not-for-profit organisations and contributors to ensure the purpose of their activity, we verify the actual use of funds, as well as the purposefulness and efficiency of their use.

Fee
Good partners always agree on fees in such a way that there is a platform for a balanced and fair relationship. As the requirements on audit and non-audit services and their scope vary depending on the individual company requirements, we negotiate our remuneration during partner consultations and in such a way that is mutually beneficial.
The fee is set based on the estimated amount of work related to the provided services and in line with the recommendation of the Slovak Chamber of Auditors.
We would welcome the opportunity to prepare and submit our customised fee proposal to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
Corporate Responsibility
We have made a commitment to helping individuals and communities in need and also to sustain the planet that we live on.
Business Audit Partner donates at least 10% of its annual profits to philanthropic and charitable activities, namely to persons with severe disabilities or socially weaker persons, who need the help of others.
Since there are so many of us co-existing on this Earth and there is only one planet, we at Business Audit Partner want to contribute with our “drop in the ocean” to sustainability.
Therefore, we try to do our best to minimise our ecological and carbon footprint and to be in line with responsible consumption rules.
So far, we are only at the beginning of our “green” journey. However, we gradually learn how to sacrifice a part of our comfort and some pleasure for the common good. We admit that some things are not very comfortable to us yet, but we are making progress slowly but surely. We now know how to enjoy the consumption of a lentil stew instead of a juicy beef steak.
"Don't worry about big problems of the world, worry about one specific person who you can help. Instead of big ideas choose one small task that you can complete."
